All together there are more than 15 cranes operating in the area and more to come shortly. Hospiten, our local private hospital, is expanding by doubling it’s size. There is provision for a small shopping centre opposite the entrance to Selwo, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. No date has yet been announced for this. Starlite Music World will be built to the west of the Russian Orthodox Church. Apart from an auditorium, there will be a hotel of 200 rooms as well as recording studios, film facilities, restaurants and a lake. This is reported to have a development cost of €286 million. The total investment in the immediate area exceeds €700 million. A new paddle tennis club is under construction, consisting of 11 courts as well as a spa and restaurant. The area is already well served by great up-market restaurants and beach bars such as Bossa and Sonora Beach, supermarkets such as Mercadona, Aldi, Lidl and Carrefour and several petrol stations. La Resina is a consolidated area. While we enjoy all of these benefits we still retain our rural atmosphere.
